Elfs
Elfs are the future of modding for sure.2-3 Months ago I was telling Mav. about the lack of Good Softwares which can replace or copy Nokia's
Standby screen which I love a lot. Elfs were present 2-3 months before as well but were not much in number. Now they are, and they work on nearly
all the phones the only exception being of the various firmware available for 1 phone they will work on any 1 firmware for which the elf pack is available
though some exceptions are there. In this guide I will tell you about the various useful elfs present
Bookmanager 2.6
This elf is a Must for everyone. This Elf allows you to terimnate other elfs which are running and it also replaces the inbuilt Activity Menu of Sony Phones
Best of all it allows you to Minimize the Bluetooth sending screen.
Logo Changer .70
Created By Jasiek
This Elf replaces the Operator Logo and allows you to put a custom message or many other cool information like the Heap Size, Temps and many more
Desktop Elf v1.2
This Elf Rocks! This Elf makes possible Menu at Phone's Desktop as in Nokia Phones
IFMD
This elf shows the Free Phone Memory and Card Memory on the Desktop
This is a new elf and currently supports vey few phones
Supported Phones List - W610,K790,W660,K800,W200,W810,K810
MiniGPS 1.16
This Elf acts like a GPS and shows your current position on your phone screen. It finds out your location using the Network and Cell ID so for the first time
when you visit a place, the Cell and Network ID is saved in a log file, then just connect your phone to your PC, note the Cell and Network ID and then
enter the Name of the Location and from next time when you visit that place the Name of that location will be shown. This elf also changes the Phone Profile
according to the Location
Sleepmode
This elf has a very high progress rate. This elfs allows you to customize your Sleepmode screen with Custom Messages, Custom Background, Music Info on the Standby
screen as well as on the Sleepmode screen and what not

guys the desktop 1.2 is not working on my phone w810, when start the elf it just flash in white then again then in a sec it will return and no desktop icons......
another thing where should i put the png.zip?
pls help.... i re-flash may fone just to put the elfs as recommended in the tut.
pls pls pls....

Sounds like youre missing either a patch or the dyn-const.bin file

when i start the elf desktop my phone crashes, Ive try several desktop.cfg same result, some nothing happens, some instead of icons small boxes appears, i followed every step from our forum's tut. i when to v1.2 to v1 to 1.1. as i read more on forums, some say layout.ml conflict but in my case vkp patches conflict with the elf.
still doing some testing....
hoping for a tut for each elf add-on for more stable phone.
which is which conflicting with each other may vkp patch or elf to elf...

Desktop Elf v1.2 is for DB2020 phones

yep got it running on my phone desktop 1.1 hehe,
could someone possibly put up a tutorial on sleepmode elf (detailed if possible)pls. pls. pls.

Under the Config folder make a folder called Desktop and put the cfg and pngs there
