Here's a few font's I've converted to SE in the past for you to choose from including my SS font =)

Sony Sketch 2.0.5.1 (although an updated 206 is due when I get some spare time) supports all Sony Ericsson Europe firmware with added support for Nokia.

Monotype Corsiva SE (simple conversion from PC to SE, added missing symbols, fixed g & j bug). supports most latin based iso's.

Old English, (simple PC to SE conversion, added extra symbols and fixed g & j bug.... more decorative then practical) very basic font in terms of iso support (although I may add to it in future).

TimesNewRomanSE (another conversion with added symbols and bug fixes) support's all the same iso's as PC version.

\*---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*/

here's how-to edit your FONTS.XML for future referance........
Right Click FONTS.XML and select open with notepad or wordpad.......

Original xml
Code:

<xml>
   <engine>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight= "normal">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_Reg.ttf</font>
   </engine>
   <engine>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_bd.ttf</font>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight="italic" s01="20">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_Reg.ttf</font>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold-italic" s01="20">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_db.ttf</font>
   </engine>
</xml>

OK, the text Sans-Serif_Europe_Reg.ttf (_bd) is the font files the phone currently uses (ttf), to simply change which font you wish to use replace that name with the name of your chosen font ie: replace the "Sans-Serif_Europe_db.ttf" and "Sans-Serif_Europe_Reg.ttf" with Sony_Sketch_EF.ttf (font files should NOT contain spaces in there names, and MUST contain the .ttf file extension).

You can also choose to use different font files for different font types see where it says weight="bold", if you change the font in that line then thats the font that will be used for bold (same applies to Italic/Bold Italic)

To use the the Sony_Sketch_EF font the FONTS.XML should now look like this
xml for Sony_Sketch_EF
Code:
<xml>
   <engine>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight="normal">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sony_Sketch_EF.ttf</font>
   </engine>
   <engine>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sony_Sketch_EF_Bold.ttf</font>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight="italic" s01="20">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sony_Sketch_EF.ttf</font>
      <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold-italic" s01="20">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sony_Sketch_EF_Bold.ttf</font>
   </engine>
</xml>

And that will use Sony_Sketch_EF font for normal (regular) and Italic fonts, and it will use Sony_Sketch_EF_Bold for the bold and bold italic.......
Save the xml and upload your fonts with newly modified xml to "tpa/preset/system/fonts" using the tool of your choice and enjoy Cool (of course you would need to use the names of the font files you wish to use though).

All the above fonts come with ready edited fonts.xml (all previews shown on K800@K810 and based on 240x320 screen resolution).
Note: these fonts are NOT aimed at APAC FW... I have no way to edit .ccc format files, none of these font's include chinese Sad

Basicly you need to fix all the metrix's (placing), that will fix the g&j bugs.

Then SE uses alot of different sysmbols so you basicly need to add those (or in most cases make the extra sysmbols or steal them from another font lol).

There is a shortcut to fixing the metrix's though, if you have a good font program you can just copy and paste the font into a stock SE font that already has correct metrix's, but if your not using a good program its not always possible to do that Sad (I use Font Creator Pro 5.6 Proffesional Wink

(and even then specail paste is only available in trial or professional editing).

HINT... stay away from fontlab studio, its ment to be the best font creating soft but I've only had bad experiences with it, it miss calculates the Glyph's when generating the .ttf and all the font has different width's and hights and stuff Sad really ugly fonts when using that.

PS: let me know how they look in the E6 mate Smile (I also have 1 or two more to add when I get time, it means flashing my phone and installing elf to get the screen shots again Sad).

Yup coming up nicely. It was coming a little large on medium size, so using it on small (we can choose from 3 font sizes).

The UI is from EZX (old Linux Moto UI)....the P2K one is more dynamic, but I dont have any complains Wink

Cool, thanks Smile
I had to decrease the size of the digital font by about 40% to get it looking the correct size (and even now it looks a little wide Razz) you should of seen the fiddling I was doing to make the extra symbols in the digital style lol aww.

(we can upload to the server via url right???? just with my net messing up I could upload to my server using FTP and transfer to MJ via url Smile (id never though of that before hehe)).
