Motorola ZN5 Pictures

Now that should shut up anyone saying that Motorola phones don\'t have good cameras. The ZN5 features a 5 MP Kodak camera with a xenon flash. It also features the revolutionary morphing keyboard which was successfully introduced in the E8. Basically, a morphing keyboard has no pre-defined keys, the phone changes the keys according to your needs. For example, in a text message window, it will display the normal keypad. While playing music, it will display only music keys in place of those keys. Awesome!
The platform on which it runs I can\'t say for sure just by looking at the screenshots, but it seems the same LJ platform running on V8

I got this mail sometime back and it included pictures of phones which were currently in R&D by cell phone manufacturers. There are no details, but just the pictures are pretty amazing...so what you see under this story is probably what you will see in late 2008 and 2009 in the cell phone market

Motorola Z12 Leaked!

Motorola\'s upcoming ZINE Z12 media phone has been spotted in its first full photo just days ahead of its likely launch, says Czech site iDNES.cz. Already partly uncovered in December, the slider phone is now known to be wider than the Z8 and Z10 it replaces but also sports a very different control scheme: the familiar physical controls appear to have been replaced with touch-sensitive buttons.

Motorola Concept - Rollable or Foldable Phone

The design of the mobile phones is always a fight between two opposite objectives - portability and usability. The more small and portable the device becomes, the less usable the user interface can be.

You can make the phone screen only that small, until the information displayed on it becomes unreadable. The same goes for the input devices. Make the keyboard small enough, and the user will have a really hard time pressing the correct keys.

Well. Motorola has an interesting idea what to do about that. In a patent application "User Interface System" it describes a concept of mobile phone with rollable display and/or keyboard.

W910i - A new generation Walkman Phone By Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson announced the W910i, an HSDPA Walkman phone geared to let users choose music by selecting Shake control and flicking the phone to control games or skip and shuffle between tracks. Users can also opt for SensMe and discover music to match a mood and tempo. Adding a new dimension to mobile gaming, if players tire of using the dedicated gaming buttons, they can make a move on the W910i by steering from left to right.

Nokia N81 out next week

Nokia has begun shipping its new N81 handset and has revealed that it will be on sale from November 1.

Set to be launched 4Q 2007 and running S60v3 FP1, the Nokia N81 is a slider-followup to the N91 8GB Music Edition. It is quad-band EDGE with 2100 HSDPA (yeah, you know what that means), WiFi (b/g w/ uPnP), BT 2.0 with A2DP, and a 3.5mm slot.

Samsung G800 hits it officially
